It has been raining here in my part of Iceland for 3 months now and finally in last week we got some rare sight this summer, sunshine.
My dog doesn't mind the rain too much unless it is very windy though.
Today we said goodbye to Puck, my best little buddy for 9 years – and my wife's for 15. He was brave and caring, a wonderful big brother for my son, and the best companion a guy could ask for. I miss you, little guy. Forever, love.

PS. Some older pics of him are archived here. (Not sure if that link will take you right there, but it's the third post if you click "View Older Replies.")

Very sorry for your loss. So hard to say good bye to a pet.
Sorry for your loss Chris, it's sure tough to say goodbye to our furkids. That last photo is precious!

This poor pup was at a puppy mill in PA Amish. She hit 6 years old and was not producing well enough so was taken to a swap meet to be sold. At the end of the day a member of the a Buffalo SPCA knowing that the unsold dogs are disposed of on return was able to acquire her surrender with 2 other dogs which were tied down in the back of a pickup truck. Due to surgery needs SPCA was unable to classify her as adoptable and was placed as rescue only. Our rescue group called me with a 72 hour urgent placement which we accepted. Molly will be scheduled for her non cancerous mast-cell tumor this week and will be available shortly after. Good with other dogs, cats, children, on leash and is super sweet. No real obedience training but she seems to be sharp and should do well with kind positive guidance. She wants to please her people! Her amazing coat is the darkest of dark brown.
So I will have to say rescue do not purchase your pets.
Just came back from a 2 week road trip and it was really great having Bruce with us. No problems on any trails we hiked - great tenting with us all through the trip too. No problem on long car drives from Vancouver to Canadian Rocky Mountains either.
I'm just starting to pick the best photos - but here he is at Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park. He's also 9 months old now - the puppy face quickly turns into a serious dog face.
