Regarding the #2 photo I would recommend to try lower angle, it often works best when we are at their eye level.

Getting lower is feedback that I'll try to keep in mind - I've been having the same thoughts when reviewing my photos. The one thing I wish the ZF had most is the multi-angle screen of the Z8. I'm not a huge fan of the offset tilted screen but more practice with it might go a ways in saving my knees.
The other difficulty is one hand usually holding a disgusting, grass-covered ball. That's enough excuses for my composition I hope
