Nitro is the spec .. a one-man dog and familydog .. and a few more people that he has confidence to.
I been practice and even compete with my dogs in working events
got my first German Shepherd in 1992 and has had the breed since then
The picture he looks a bit dangerous on .. we just play .. get him to bark on command
Dan : I would try take the picture at longer focal length and further away ...135-200mm and then crop the image
Give it a try

My trouble-making Border Collie Nellie is one of the fastest non racing breed dogs here in Knoxville, consistently outrunning every Doberman, every Weimaraner. She likes to bite the big labs or Dobermans on the rear, lightly, to get them to chase her so she can leave them in the dust.
This worked until she met Ayres, a huge greyhound who had just retired from the track six months before.....

Hehe.. I'll bet they would like to course rabbits together if they were allowed nowadays
What mix do you consider your dog Chance to be? My Nellie is essentially the same mix or look, and I've always defaulted to her being part Australian Shepherd, part Border Collie. One of the very few non racing breed dogs I ever considered to be as fast as Nellie was one I thought was the same mix, who looked very much like your Chance. Nellie is faster than pure Aussies or pure Border Collies, but that dog that looked like Chance could smoke the dog park grass....
