I've seena few very nice D3s examples sell on the Buy/Sell here for ~$1800 or so, though at that price I'd probably go for a D800 for the DR and other factors unless you need the FPS.
I'm leaning towards a d3s for ~$1800 to get the FPS and pro body. A D800 for ~$1400 is tempting, but I rarely shoot anywhere near base ISO. At which point I should just sell my DF and get a D750
I just finished "Liking" quite a few images. Thanks for sharing!
In May, I elected to stay with my D700 cameras for quite a while longer, depleting available photo gear funds to acquire two of the three pro "trinity" zooms, a new 14-24/2.8G, and a pre-owned 24-70/2.8G.

I have a hard time giving up my D700 as well. 100,000 shutter clicks and still going.
I picked up a mint d700 with less that 10K clicks a few weeks back at a great price. Bought it locally from an older gentleman who bought it new several years back. Previously shot with my d7000, which was also a great camera!
This thread is great, and thanks to all those who shared!
Which one do you think works (if any) out of these? if there is one thing that spoils my enjoyment of photography its being unable to know what to do with the pictures once taken, that includes culling and processing.

Anyone got any pointers?
I like #2 best overall for composition and the contrast. All nice shots in nice light.

#2 crop looks good. From the originals, I like #1 the best perhaps due the pronounced background obliteration. All three have lovely light.
Hi, Thanks for giving feedback I think there could be lots of variation with preferences, guess thats why I struggle to choose!
