I actually have no interest in this 24-70. I've been there, done that with Canon and Nikon. I'd rather have 2 A7R, both with primes on them. No need for changing lenses or zooming. 24-70 zooms mainly exist for convenience. A convenience that a second camera would solve much better. And which two prime lenses would you put on your two A7r? FE 55 and 35. I can wait for the 16-35/4 for wider angles. that's just me, and I currently have no plans to carry 2 A7R. These standard Zooms are usually so large and unwieldy, and a good prime will still beat them optically. On Canon and Nikon , I used a 24-70 a lot, but you won't see me with such combo again. I'll just zoom with my feet with a lighter, less intimidating kit.
Trouble for me is neither of the primes are stabilised and I have found the zoom OSS to be very impressive.
If you were going with 2 cameras, I'd go A7R and RX1R combo ... but that's just me.
