That's V1 of the 35/1.2, which is better, but you often read the opposite. But they are close and A7 especially loves them. Good for landscape also I think on that camera.
I also read reports dissing the CV at RFF--and you can read the 50/1.1 is soft over at Ken Rs site.
The truth is there are copy variations and focus calibration variations, so one guy gets bad shots, posts them, and we're off to the races.
In low light it's the best 35 in the world. Legendary Bokeh. And good for your biceps too
In the last month l learned the CV 35/2.5 is not so great on the A7, terrible on the R, but incredible on the M9. Those pesky lenses defy pideonholing.

also on Ken Rockwell's site, you can read how global warming isnt real because it's cold in New York in the winter and many other reviews of camera gear he has never shot. donate and help his growing family!
An experiment
The weather here has not been conducive for outdoor shooting, when finally the sun did come out took the opportunity to try out an old macro lens.
This image has been cropped and vignetting was applied due to a less than desirable backdrop.

I bought a Leitz 50mm pre-WWII uncoated Summar for my M8, which I no longer have. I bought it for a particular picture I had in mind: shooting it in the fog wide open. I wanted that "soft glow"
around objects shot wide open which is common with uncoated optics. I finally got my chance using my A7R. We had record breaking temperatures here, freezing the salt water, tidal bay. Then came a quick warm up. and the fog rose up off the bay. I shot it at f2 hand held. A little more atmosphere added PP in Mystical Lighting.
