Samuli, nice work with the 50 Loxia! did you have also the ZM 50 planar before the Loxia? I already have the ZM 50 Planar and the FE 55 Sonnar. I think I'm quite mad for wanting the new Loxia albeit having those two lenses already
frezeiss, thanks - no I don't have ZM 2/50, just G45, C/Y1.4/50, C/Y1.7/50, ZE1.4/50, ZE2/50, FE55, so I have plenty of room for more Zeiss normal lenses I don't think I'll get ZM2/50, but I'm slightly interested about ZA-series 1.4/50, but this year was supposed to be "concentrate to photography and don't get lost to new lenses..."-year, so maybe 2016.
Zeiss Loxia 2/50 @ f/2.8, 1/320s, ISO 100, A7r, Hoya HD Circ-Pol, 120cm/50inc silver reflector
So much great stuff, I can't comment on everything. But the Easter rooster is gorgeous, as are Ronnie's panorama, Dale's second shot and Philip PJ's first. Plus the usual supects of course. Congrats!
Enough of these high end lenses and perfectly sharp photos. How about a freebie from a friend? A Sigma 70-210 F4-5.6 without a hood and with so little contrast with stray light it's almost unusable. But after some PP I actually like the look. Has a bit of a film look to it. Considering it's the only long FF lens I have right now it might have to do next week at the Appomattox 150th reenactments. Maybe the look will work for civil war photos? Who Knows.
Loving the 90 cron, sebboh! Colors are great, but the bokeh and the subject jumping out of the frame are just wonderful. I almost picked up a 90 cron R but never did. Now, I really should take the plunge with M. Nice to see such great performance from the pre-ASPH version. Saving a few grand is always welcome!!!
