Loving the 90 cron, sebboh! Colors are great, but the bokeh and the subject jumping out of the frame are just wonderful. I almost picked up a 90 cron R but never did. Now, I really should take the plunge with M. Nice to see such great performance from the pre-ASPH version. Saving a few grand is always welcome!!!

yeah, the lens is beautiful. wonderful color and focus falloff for portraits. i've always heard people say that the elmarit is sharper, but i don't really need any more sharpness than the cron offers. i've been turned off by the bokeh i see from the AA version at mid distance/full body portrait style shots too. the pre-asph cron seems just about perfect, and yes jako, it's the mandler version.
Great shots everyone!
Derrick, wonderful images! Love the 90 Cron Pre-Ash
Jack, great moody portrait
Thank you Ronny. Stunning shots!
Rene, your compositions and imagination always amazes me !
Phillip, love your images and PP'ing. So real and life like
Shots this afternoon with the FE 35/1.4 and A7II
First day of decent lighting, so I thought I would test how the lens performed shooting into sun. Surprisingly it presented with start burst from f/2 to 16. All the shots have the EXIF intact for those that are interested.

First Loxia 2/50 seemed "mild" compared to Contax G-series 45mm, but light have been ultra crappy here. I was able to shoot some photos on decent light during easter. It's obvious that Loxia can't reach "Zeissiness" level of G45, but it's not far behind. Otherwise "no news" compared to what I wrote last time.
Zeiss Loxia 2/50 @ f/2.8, 1/400s, ISO 100, A7r, Hoya HD Circ-Pol (f/5.6 version for people preferring larger DOF)
Tough lighting on this one as the setting sun was lighting up the canopy. Accidentally shot at f/16... I know it's a little dark...but it more matches what I saw.
