Peter, it is not about competition but it is more about sharing our passion for capturing images. I admire folks here that can create artistically superb images out of seemingly simple objects/conditions and/or at seemingly "mundane" location.
I am retired and what do retirees do? They travel and I happen to combine my travel with my passion in photography. Yes, sometimes I brave adverse conditions in an attempt to create somewhat different look of my images. And, I admit that I got lucky a few times in terms of weather or being able to capture certain phenomena. But still, it is our passion that counts! I hope this post comes across well and cheers!
Joshua, It does, just my clumsy way of saying how wonderful so many of the shots are!

Joshua, these are simply breathtaking. As somebody who went to Finland to take pictures of the Northern lights and had the scene (partially) spoiled by clouds, I'm happy that the trip up North went well for you, but I'll admit that I'm slightly jealous, too .

Chris, Gregg and Charles, my sincere appreciation to you! I did get lucky from time to time .
This Easter-hen-shaped little chandelier is with me for the last 20 years. This time my wife put an Easter-egg-shaped-and-coloured candle in it.

Last Saturday was the day taken exactly from old local saying, that April is the month that interweaves some of Winter with some of Summer.Rain, snow and rain with snow, strong, chilly wind and dazzling sunlight - all that within 3 hours.

Great photos guys! pictures from the new FE 35 1.5 and loxias makes me drool!
Charles & Darrell, you guys have done a wonderful job showcasing the lens! too bad i've spent my budget on a VC 50 1.5 already! Thanks, to Rene
Joshua, superb Iceland series!
Samuli, nice work with the 50 Loxia! did you have also the ZM 50 planar before the Loxia? I already have the ZM 50 Planar and the FE 55 Sonnar. I think I'm quite mad for wanting the new Loxia albeit having those two lenses already
A little OOT, friend is borrowing my A7 and during my time "stuck" with my XT-1, I realized that the XT-1 viewfinder is nicer than the A7, and even more so if you activate its split magnified view option. It just made focusing manual lenses much easier, I wish Sony will implement this feature on the next A7 series..
Ronny, nice close up shot. Charles, I like the horse shots with the FE 35...I am trying to decide on which 35 to pick up for a7ii. I love my ZE 1.4/35, but it is a little heavy for the platform. How do you think that the FE compares? The Leica Lux FLE is out of my price range; although, I know that one is well thought of here. Werner, gold color and composition great on prior page.
