Way too much excitement last night for what was supposed to be a night of light chasing. I got stuck in the snow - twice. Which is pretty impressive considering how little snow we have! I grabbed this one after the peak of the show while waiting for the cavalry.
I shot a concert last Friday (1/30/15). I had with my A7 with: FD85L, CV35mm f/1.2, CV 12mm f/5.6 and then my Olympus E-M5 with: 75mm f/1.8 & 25mm f/1.4.
Here are some of my favorites from the A7--the 85L was the definite favorite:
Also, some thoughts on shooting events with manual focus:
-Continuous Bursts are really necessary both for getting facial expressions & focus right
-f/1.2 in horrible lighting is a life-saver.
-Poorly lit concerts are a good cure from pixel-peeping. If you want noiseless photos, go shoot landscape on a tripod.
Samuli, Charles, Robbie36, Gregg, Ryankarr, superb stuff! Sorry the thread moves so fast I am failing to congratulate well-deserving others, and to be more detailed...
That looks pretty good, what aperture please?
Its not a lens I remember much being said about, do you know how it is in comparison to the 2.8 FD or other 24s?
Some say the FD 24/2.8 is a bit sharper but I don't believe so. Also I like fast lenses
I like the Konica 24/2.8 and Minolta 24/2.8 as well but they have a bit more distortion I think.
Konica colours are quiet special.
I had an Olympus 2.8 as well but sold it.
The best lens is the Zeiss ZM Biogon but it doesn't fare well on the A7r. I think it is time to sell it.
