A couple of sledding images from yesterday. It has been two years since my boys have been able to sled. Not enough snow. They were very excited about this latest storm. Sony A7 and 35mm 2.8
The images on this thread are impressive and the sheer number of folks posting testifies that the A7 series cameras are really popular and that they have been well received.
Previously, I had the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art in both Canon and Nikon mount. They were both excellent but somehow, I ended up selling both of them. I received my Sony Alpha mount version of the lens yesterday and tried it out in combo with the LA-EA4 on the A7 II. Here are the first images captured by the lens. It is not the smallest nor lightest around for sure but it is really very usable at wide open aperture.
The first image was of a flower in my yard and it was cropped somewhat. It is not even close to Ronny Olson's excellent macro work, of course, but I am amazed at the lens at close up distance and at wide open aperture of f/1.4.
The other 3 images were taken at my favorite sushi bar last night. The first sushi I had looked really good but I forgot to use the camera since I was so hungry . I realize that sushi is not everyone's culinary choice and these are not much more than just snapshots but a little bit of variety won't hurt. So, what the heck, here are images inside some tackle box .
Robbie, Werner, Michiel, Charles, lonelyppl, photoomaha, and Josh...excellent, as always!!
Joshua...I love sushi! I was first introduced to sushi when I was in high school by my two karate sensei whilst on a week trip to San Diego for Karate seminar. All the masters from Japan were there(my sensei were part of the American Karate team)...
Been eating sushi since! Both my boys were introduced to sushi before they were 2!! It's a weekly staple in our diet

Keeping my fingers cross that Sigma will make an E mount 35mm f1/4 soon.
