I agree Ryan. Wonderful image. I love that lens . . . sorriest thing I did was sell it.
Thanks! It is a great lens, I keep toying with the idea of adding the new Zeiss ZM 35/1.4 or Summilux but this lens keeps impressing me everytime I use it.
Nothing fancy here, just playing with my new combination of A7II with Sony FE70-200/4. It makes me forget how much I liked a 70-200 zoom. Incidentally, I've been playing around with IBIS with this combo and even at 200mm it appears likely that I can get some nice sharp shots at 1/30s. I've only tried in poor indoor light but the sun is supposed to come out today!

Hey there!
I like your big cat shots on the a7 forum... I am looking to get myself a supertele for my a7 (legacy style )
I noticed you mentioned the fd 400 4.5. I thought that this lens wasn't great for digital... But clearly it is!
have you tried it with teleconverters? general impressions? Love the jaguar!

Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for those with the 1.4. I'll check out the a6000 thread too!

Had my hands on an A7II today. Camera comes from Sony shop in Berlin and they claimed it was "a first" in Europe. I dont know about that. A friend of mine bought it there the other day and came back here and we met for an hour or two in a local pub here in Stockholm just now.
Grip/trigger felt nice and quality feel a notch higher than A7. It's a little bit bigger and heavier than the A7 but no big deal given the IBIS. Tried to shoot the A7II with an A7-troublesome lens, the Voigtländer CV 15/4.5, 2nd shot JPG SOOC. Cannot really judge if it's any different from A7. No light, underexposure and ISO 1600 or 3200 and too long shutter times. With 10 shots or so I was trying to discover purple fringing and/or excessive corner smearing. Probably a vain task in these conditions. Never mind, wanted to share anyway.
Just walking around with the A7II w/ FE16-35/4 (the lens arrived today!). Handheld, auto ISO, mostly wide open. I like the star pattern wide open with this lens. I'm loving this camera vs the A7r. Yes, I give up a few MP but the handling, AF, even the shutter sound is so much more appealing. One day in and so far, this is a winner camera.
