Alaskan Short Haired Weasel (Ermine) in the Seward boat harbor. He was too fast for me to get my settings dialed in. One of those times I really wished I had an AF lens mounted (had a bunch of really blurry shots) Was surprised this one wasn't blurry at 1/60.
Sidenote: This lens gets a lot less coverage than the 105/2.5 AIS, but I just love this one. This was at 1.8 or 2, with a decent crop. But this lens in particular looks like it has been to war. Glass is perfect, but the exterior looks like someone used to roll it down asphalt streets for fun. The lining of the built in lens hood is tattered, frayed and torn. It's severely bent and rarely stays in place. Because of this condition, I bought it for dirt cheap on the bay. I think around $100. This lens and my 80-200/4 L FDn are my favorites.

Thanks Jack! BTW, I'm not selling my CV Nokton 50 1.5ASPH...I like it too much, but I am looking for another 50mm. Not sure if I want a ZM 50 1.5 or f2, or if I want a Contax 50 1.7 MMJ for stopped down work...Input? Anyone can chime in, really...
Here are two more from work yesterday
Gregg
Glad you decided to keep that CV Nokton 50 . . . you had me drooling over the prospect!
Hello guys!
It seems anyone has noticed yesterday was... The Anniversary --> One year thread... first post from Phillip on 20th of November 2013
Amazing pictures from everyone... It is a real pleasure follow this thread.

Great shot Michiel.
How do you like the 24-85 N? Especially the corner performance at the wider end ... MTF is not so good but I'm interested in real world photo feedback.
I have the Kipon adapter and 70-300 which is a bit unwieldy (maybe I need IBIS )
Congratulations on one year and 576 pages worth of outstanding pictures. Visits to this thread are very inspiring and humbling at the same time.
Wouldn't a few pictures with an a7 and the new Otus 85 be a great birthday present ?
Gregg: Again beautiful colors in that second shot.
Jako: Beautiful details from that Chinese garden. I really like the fourth one's OOF and composition.
Michiel: Excellent close-up shot of that impressive building.
phuviano: I've no clue whether that booze is any good, but the product shot sure looks like.
This picture was taken with the a7r and the Elmarit 90 wide open at f2.8. Sometimes I'd like a slightly faster lens in the 70-90mm range, but I'm not sure whether I want to wait another year until Sony releases that FE 85mm prime. Bokeh ボケ by Alpha 2008, on Flickr
Oh, Michiel, how i love your Rouen (sic ) cathedral shots. Great photographs and great subject. I just love these "Gothic Giants".
Although the Rouen cathedral has romanic roots as our three Kaiser Dom's (Speyer, Worms, Mainz) in the lower Rhein valley, it is gothic all the way.
The Dom in Mainz is still a task i want to do as is of course, Köln.
I like to add a very little gothic element (thats what our cathedrals here have: Gothic elements i a romanic surrounding) with the new 16-35 :
BTW: I have read in a test of the FE 16-35, @ 3D-kraft.com, that corner performance at 16 mm is best at F4 and decreases as you stop down. Looking at my pics i cannot confirm these findings. Although the corners/ borders are good at F4 they don't decrease stopping down.
Marek: I was starring at the WATE since the 7R came out. Although it is a great lens and i like Leica very much, i think it was no fault to resist.
Michiel, this beautiful carved ecclesiastical cliff shot reminds me of your excellent Etretat cliff shots from early in the summer. Same limestone presumably?

Great shot Michiel and Werner
Werner: Have you used a tripod for your shots from the church ?
FE 16-35 looks really nice
Thank you Ronny.
Short answer: Yes, tripod used - OSS off, it is very dark in these cathedrals. 8s exposure is even with the best OSS or IBIS not possible HH
I am glad so many like the butterflies! It was a lot of fun chasing them, looking forward to next season already. Perhaps photographers from the Southern Hemisphere can fill the gap?
I received my Minolta MD 35-70/3.5 today! The lens is mint and performs flawlessly. Lot's of testing to do and getting used to the lens. This is my first MF zoom on the A7r. Here's the first few random test shots.

mmmmmh... seems very interesting... nice bokeh too. I've received mine couple days ago but no adapter yet
Bob, could you please add information about focal length and aperture? Thanks in advance

Manuel - I added FL based on memory. The last was definitely taken in Macro mode but I don't exactly remember if it was 1:4, 1:7 or somewhere in between.
