Manuel - I added FL based on memory. The last was definitely taken in Macro mode but I don't exactly remember if it was 1:4, 1:7 or somewhere in between.
Thanks Bob... have lens on the desk and can't use it, is... depressing
Mike; as you may have noticed I like the 24-85 Contax N very much. It is probably the best zoom I have used also because of the very usefull range it has. Where does it say the MTF is not so good? Corners even at 24 are good enough for me. But I am not much of an official tester
BTW What I have heard the 70-200 is a better zoom then the 70-300. I like it a lot.
I use the C/Y 100-300 which is really supurb.
Werner thank you! This is gothic allright although inside the cathedral it is quiet sober. The outside is worked on for ever uptill now. It is really wonderfull. Amiens is also a place to go; beautifull cathedral. I will take some shots there again soon.
Wonderful those three gracious gothic ladys!
Chris; thank you
Ronny; Thank you
Hi Peter, the resemblance is there and it sure does have the same colour and structure. It must be from around here. The carvers are still working on it. (again)
Two more with the A7 and the Zuiko 24mm f2.8. Probably both at f11.
I am not sure I like the colors of these Zuikos but I do like the size and the sharpness!!
Congrats on the MD 35-70 Bob...it's really a great lens!
mmmmmh... seems very interesting... nice bokeh too. I've received mine couple days ago but no adapter yet
Sorry to hear that...but you'll be even more thrilled when the adapter arrives!!

So many great shots, and it is just expanding at an amazing pace!!!
Jack, awesome series from China!! For all the perceived issues with the 50 Lux and A7r, great shots
Bob, congrats on the 35-70! Great shots
Same observations...great sharpness, good color on closeups in the woods, good color on flash photos, weaker color and contrast in daylight (suspect coatings not up to par), and very small/light.
I did a custom recipe in Color Efex 4 (brilliance/warmth, color contrast range, foliage, polarization, vignette lens) that helps the contrast and color. I also have some favorites in Topaz Clarity (Color and Contrast Boost III or Brick Building) that work pretty well, too.
Here are some post-processed images from London.
I ran your tree shot through my CE4 recipe as a test and it looks pretty good.
I use layer blending to limit to midtones on photos with lots of sky or dark details.
And she is still smiling after all these months
Thank you
Great capture Charles! Recently someone posted a question on FM about 70-90mm alt portrait lens for Sony A7/x. Your above shot, along with many others with Lux-M 75 is a perfect recommendation. Mandler's Lux 75 presents great balance of character, size, weight that makes the lens timeless.

Peire: You make me be interested in those Minolta lenses
Rokkors are rock solid like Z series Zeisses, have great colour rendition, sharpness and microcontrast stopped down.Pure joy to use. They are not expensive either and some of them sell now for less than year ago (MC Rokkor PG 50/1.4,MD Rokkor 50/1.4,MC Rokkor PF 85/1.7,MC Rokkor 135/2.8,MC/MD Rokkor 200/4,MC/MD Rokkor 28/2,MC Rokor HH 35/1.8),so it's a good time to acquire a couple of them.
This was an image taken on the train heading to Rapallo, Italy from Cinque Terre. After a long day of walking the trails the area didnt disappoint us with its good bye.
