I also was looking into this lens for my A7R - and read in some reviews that it can cause some vignetting and magenta color casts in the corners. I see some purple color fringe in your photo - not sure if this was natural in the sky or caused by the lens?

It does cause some vignetting and purple casts in the corners on my A7. I've done a bit in PP to tone down the purple, and this image has been cropped.
I figure, even if I have to crop it a little, I've got a very sharp, very compact 15mm lens that shoots great at 18mm! :-)

Wow, that's a great angle to take picture of that church . I visited that church earlier in the year but I didn't get that angle.... .
Werner, in your capable hands, that lens really performs splendidly So far, I have used mine only for more family shots. But in 2 weeks, I will take it with me on a trip and use it as my walk around lens.
AGeoJO: Thanks! You won't regret taking the 24/70 on a trip, its made for that. Very convenient, for me thats part of a goos lens.
Juan: Great shots from Cadiz!
I finally took the plunge and just picked up an A7 on the Buy & Sell, and am planning to adapt my Canon EF lenses on it (17-40/70-200f4L/24-702.8i) but I would also like to get some manual legacy lenses to use. I currently have a couple OM Zuiko lenses for my OM-1 film camera (50 1.8 and 28 3.5 non MRC) but I realize they're not going to work very well for this sensor.
So I am wondering if you would be willing to share what some of the best (affordable) wide to normal legacy lenses for the A7 are in your experience. I can't afford Leicas so those are out of the picture.

Thanks,

Congrats on your purchase. I hate to say it, but you have 500 pages on this thread to check out an alarming number of wide to normal legacy lenses!
