Foggy and rainy conditions throughout my entire 3-day stay at Zhangjiajie last October. Sorry for lamenting here yet again... Fortunately, I managed to get a few semi-decent shots from the lower elevation parts taken when the fog lifted somewhat. Her ere is one of them...
The Kaiser Wilhelm I Monument on the Hohensyburg in Dortmund, captured today with the Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8.
Situated on a hill, it's visible from many kilometers away and is illuminated at night. A few years ago, some climate activists decided to save the world by attacking the monument with paint-filled bags—essentially damaging it. And it actually worked: this year, we've had an unusually cold and snowy winter so far. Unfortunately, the monument has been left with a somewhat feminine, pinkish tint ever since.
I almost always shoot with it at f/4.
It's not that the lens's sharpness prevents me from opening it wider, it's just that the image seems more natural and even a little 3D to me.

Three years ago I joined the Sony side with an A7RV used to document my brain cancer patient niece’s Make-A-Wish trip to Disneyworld. Yesterday I posted a fresh set of images from our trip with her two weeks ago at WDW where we celebrated the 3 year anniversary of that event. It’s in the People forum if interested: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1933430/
The way you captured the joy in the last photo is priceless Ross❤️
