Last night we went to the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show. It was incredible! These horses are magnificent animals. I ended up taking 3,000 images in three hours! Here is the first batch. This was the horse slide competition where the rider slammed on the brakes and the horse literally digs in. Their hooves create the most amazing whirlwind of dirt. Just incredible. 70-200 GMII.

I've owned this lens for years. It could be lighter, for sure, but I'm glad I never replaced it with a newer model. The rendering is just so lively and non-sterile. If they made an updated version with the exact same optics, just 200g lighter and with weather sealing, it would be the perfect lens.

Great shots! Ever since the series "Yellowstone," the horse slide competition has become a familiar term to everyone in Europe.
