You still have these beauties, Bill? I miss mine.
Got my Viltrox 14mm about a week ago, took it to the beautiful George Peabody Library (Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University) this morning for a quick spin, all handheld, tripod is not allowed. I shot this library with my CV 12 in the past. I have been to the Library of the Congress, the Boston Public Library, both are very classy, something you can only see in Europe. The Toronto Public Library is architecturally very interesting too.
Douglas, the Rubies left late September. The Rufous variety is a regular visitor here in the winter. I have had them some years until April.
A side note, last December I had a wayward Costas for the entire month.

We have a persimmon tree in our backyard. Last year, for the first time, the crows discovered the persimmons were edible, so they ate every single one of them before they were ready to be picked. This year the crows didn't show up, so we harvested about 300 persimmons, most of which were given to neighbors and friends. The persimmons in your picture looked nice and soft, must be very sweet!
Beautiful refection, Graham. I have never been to the Canadian Rockies, it's on my bucket list.

Looks like the 100-400 is in good hands! #1 is my favorite.
Went to Washington DC this morning to visit two locations which I have been to quite a few times. This time was to try out the Viltrox 14. All hand held.
The "Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception" is located on the campus of the Catholic University Of America in Washington DC. It is the largest Catholic church building in North America. Its construction started in 1920 and finished in 2017. The architecture is "Byzantine and Romanesque Revival" style.
Cross post in the Viltros 14mm thread.
