Wife and I made our first trip to a national park together, driving out to Big Bend this past week. First time for both of us, and my first time in a national park ever. Couldn't believe how massive it was. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend, but definitely in early spring/late fall. I could see it being brutal in the summer.

You did fantastic work, what a great set for your first ever National Park visit! The last three of sunset, dusk, and moonrise are really sweet.

Set this up as a self-portrait a couple evenings ago in the high country — just me, my dog, a lantern, and a small fire under the rising moon. I was after that feeling of stillness that settles in when the light turns blue and the world goes quiet for a while.
