These have a nice feel to them, John.
Good to see the Tamron G2 28-75 being put to good use. I really like my copy and need to take it out for a walk.
Thanks Ross, the Tamron 28-75G2 has been a workhorse recently. If they offered a 24-105 equivalent with same image quality I'd bite their arm off. I upgraded from a very well used sony 24-105

Thank you Douglas, terrific images.
My favorites are the first and last.

Thank you K-H! I enjoy your bird footages. A lot of efforts to put them together!
Just received the Tamron 50-400 I bought here, took it out for a quick spin, nothing really interesting. It looks pretty sharp tp me. Will do a sharpness comparison against my Sony 100-400 GM when I get around to do it.

So far so good, Douglas! You know what’s hilarious? I just added a 100-400 GM to my arsenal, even though I am absolutely loving how the Tamron 50-400 has performed for me this year I just need to satisfy my curiosity about the GM. I should have it in time for a shoot in Death Valley in about a week. It was previously owned by Fred Miranda and supposedly a ‘golden’ copy.
Here it is zoomed out to 80mm last night with last light of sunset at Zion NP (It’s been sooo nice having the 50-99mm range covered, less switching lenses):

Love the light on the the mountain, Ross! I had a 100-400 GM for a long time since it was the longest Sony lens available for the first several years of Alpha full frame. I sold it after the 200-600 came out. I bought another 100-400 GM last year when I was planning my air to air shoots. The second 100-400 GM I bought is crazy sharp too. Now I have several mid range teles, the 70-200 G II, 135mm Batis, Tamron 35-150, Sony 100-400, and now the Tamron 50-400, which will be my travel lens. If the Tamron 50-400 is nearly as sharp as the Sony 100-400 GM in the same focal lengths, I may sell the Sony GM.
I saw that you bought the 100-400 formerly owned by Fred!

The lighter weight (comparatively) and the extended range make the 50-400 so nice, I think you will enjoy it. Tonight I was shooting and zooming into my images and just amazed at how much landscape detail is captured with the Tamron on A7RV.
