First outing with Voigtlander Portrait Heliar 75/1.8 FE.
Well done, Peire! Looking forward to more of your images with that lens.
While on a rainy day bike tour of Versailles, we stopped at the very end of the ponds leading up to the palace to take images. I was hoping to have the place all to ourselves, but just as I started to photograph, a large troop of Girl Scouts (I believe) biked right into my scene and set up for a picture! At first I was a little miffed, but then realized that this image would be better than just the palace and grounds.
I visited a place in Holland where a family of kingfishers nested some 2+ years ago. Back then I only had my 70-200mm and my A7r V. I was only able to get some passable images. With that opportunity in mind, I schlepped my A1 II and the GM 300mm plus both TCs this time around for another visit to Europe/Holland for that. I left the wildlife gear at my friend's place while visiting some other parts of Europe. The lighting condition remained poor like before but at least I could get some more reach and was able to capture some flying actions of these birds using the A1 II. But I had to run denoising actions first and here is one...
@HelenaN - Great images, Helena, especially that of the puffin! What lens did you use for that?
Ode to the original A7R - Kolari modded, serving for a decade, mostly Zeiss SM35/1.4 and Summilux 50/1.4 lenses. Great size + PlayMemories Camera Apps filter , something to be missed...

Thank you! I used CV 40/1.2E on all three photos in that post.
Really like your photo!
Amazing that you use this MF lens for the puffins!
First installment from yesterday's airshow in Genesio, NY. This is my first time to see planes taking off from and landing on grass "runway", even the B-25 bombers.
All these three cargo planes participated in the Africa and European theaters during WWII. The C-47 in the first and second pictures actually dropped the paratroopers of the 101st Division over Normandy area in the early morning hours of the D-day. I am thankful someone has the $$$$$$$$ and passion to keep these warbirds flying.

Family of my sister's husband lives in Versailles,so I visited that place quite often. My sister also lived in Paris, yet died 2 years ago.Family still there.Been to Paris many times, but I do not like this city too much, preferring Rome and Istanbul out of all European capitals.
