Sup everyone! New to this forum but excited to have found it. I miss using forums and was under the impression that most were more or less dead these days.
Here's a few recent shots from Road America. Anyone else shoot motorsports here?
Ross, I appreciate your kind words! Your Blue Ridge Mountain images are exquisitely enjoyable!

What a beautiful capture, Joshua! When we went to New Zealand in 2006, I only had a Canon bridge camera.
Haven't done much shooting lately, other than a few airshows and hummingbirds in my yard. It's going to be HOT HOT HOT here next week. Most likely I will stay inside most of the time.
A few from last week.
Thank you very much, Doug! You still can go back there...
Your airshow images are impressive and your humming bird images are superb!
I didn't actually see where this male peregrine falcon took a bath. Maybe in the ocean out of my view but I noticed that he looked different when he flew around a bit. I could see that he was completely wet when he first landed on the ledge here. It took him good 10 minutes to do some preening and spreading its feathers to dry.

Back to the 50's car show.
More than 9000 cars at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds. (no, I don't own a classic car, mine is just old)

I recently acquired a small MSM Nomad star tracker. Saturday night, I took it for its maiden outing to Spruce Knob, the highest point in West Virginia at 4,863 feet. My goals for the night shoot were (1) to test the tracker and (2) to gain some experience using it as I had not used a tracker before. I spent a couple of hours up there shooting around midnight. This is a downsized copy of one of the images I captured. The tracker performed pretty well. I a bit less so but with more practice I expect to get better at it. Steve

I head out to Laguna Seca a couple times a year. It's not too far from where I live
I think I'm heading out there for the MotoAmerica Superbike races in July
Looking forward to seeing more of your pics!
Thanks so much for the kind words!
RA is a fun place to shoot. Your shots are CRAZY good. Perfect DOF, blur, background separation. Are you shooting these handheld or tracking with a tripod?
