My daughter decided to serve a mission for our church and needed some fun images to share with friends and family. This one is one of my favorites from our shoot. I really love the Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.0. This one was shot wide open at f1.0.

Amazing images of the Peregrine falcon Joshua! How do you get so close or even find where they are nesting? I'm always very impressed with your photographic skills from people and portrait photography to landscapes to travel to wildlife - all amazing!
I went out in an area I previously visited a few days back and captured more Prickly Pear Cacti in bloom - still not peak but pretty close. I've never seen such a concentration of these before and it's like a literal mine field walking around between them.
These are some amazing cactus!

What a beautiful capture, Joshua! When we went to New Zealand in 2006, I only had a Canon bridge camera.
Haven't done much shooting lately, other than a few airshows and hummingbirds in my yard. It's going to be HOT HOT HOT here next week. Most likely I will stay inside most of the time.

Love the rendering, Eric. I traded my Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f/1.2 for an SE 35mm f1.2 as I prefer the slightly wider coverage. The 50mm f1.0 certainly has some hard to described character.

Thank you Douglas! I also love my SE 35/1.2 and the SE 50/1.2. All have terrific rendering, especially of people. The Nokton f/1.0 is fun to have. I don't think it is "better" than the SE 50/1.2, but it does have f1.0!
The Arctic poppy (Papaver radicatum) is one of the world's northernmost plants. It can survive at temperatures down to -40°C and below.

Sup everyone! New to this forum but excited to have found it. I miss using forums and was under the impression that most were more or less dead these days.
Here's a few recent shots from Road America. Anyone else shoot motorsports here?
