In 5 days the biggest peregrine falcon chicks developed from a clumsy wing flapper in the first 2 images to mastering the air in the last 2. She even did some aerial acrobatic moves with mom. These are cross-posted in a different thread...

Great photos. Animals are the most delightful subjects for photography.

My wife's artichoke plants in her garden went to seed and turned a beautiful shade of purple. Back yard shot with the Thypoch Simera 28/1.4 at f1.4.
Nice, that lens has quite a nice rendering and love the images you've been capturing with it!

Amazing images of the Peregrine falcon Joshua! How do you get so close or even find where they are nesting? I'm always very impressed with your photographic skills from people and portrait photography to landscapes to travel to wildlife - all amazing!
I went out in an area I previously visited a few days back and captured more Prickly Pear Cacti in bloom - still not peak but pretty close. I've never seen such a concentration of these before and it's like a literal mine field walking around between them.

Thank you very much for your kind words, Scott! Their nest is indeed nearby and when I was there when I took the first 2 images, 2 of the chicks ventured out. I got a lot of companions shooting falcons at that particular site. We see the parents go in and out of the nest although the actual nest was hidden but the entrance was visible. The flapping chick was not that close. My FL of that is 800mm and I did crop the image somewhat, too.
I enjoy your photography, too! The cacti in bloom images are superb, both the overall view and the close-up ones, Scott!

Beautiful! Prickly pear blooms are some of my absolute favorite. I need to get out in the desert near my home to see what's there. It's already 112F in Arizona!
