I am not sure of your question. If I read you correctly, you are asking if I think the camera is any good.
I believe Sony a good camera for the money, but I think for the same $2000, one can find a better used Nikon or Canon. I have taken over 10,000 photographs with my A7R. The first 3 or 4 thousand were with the Sony 35mm lens, and the photographs I made were not that good. The next three or four thousand with Minolta lenses—and those pictures better. My best results have been with Canon FD lenses. I am currently sold on Canon as the ideal lens combination for this camera body. FD Lenses can be had for a good price, and the results can be wonderful.
I personally would not spend over $500 for lens, for this camera. I feel cheated that I spent $800 for the stock Zeiss 35mm, when a $35 Minolta will do almost as well, and a $320, 40 year old Canon will simply blow the Zeiss lens out of the water, providing the Canon lens is clean, and one does not point the camera into the sun.
The question is durability. My screen is beginning to delaminate. And because the sensor is exposed to dust each time lenses are swapped, it becomes dirty easily, and is quite difficult to clean without scratching. The small size is nice, but if you match this camera with a say, a Canon 55mm, it is extraordinarily heavy. The loud shutter becomes nosier with age, and reminds me of knife edges raking across one another, with a spring somewhere in the mix. The autofocus is not that useful—so why use it? The batteries are undersize, but for about $10, each I bought two more. I have however found that most every other negative I have read about this camera body to be rumors and speculation without basis.
Not the greatest "image" in the world, but evidently one of the greatest cars! I am posting here, since I am not a car guy, and I know some of you are! Evidently this is REALLY expensive! Was parked while I was completing a couple of High School senior sessions. A7 with 55 1.8.
