Finally getting a chance to go through the photos from a Paris trip in mid-November. I am not generally one to be excited by jewelry, but these pieces from the Musee des Arts Decoratifs (right next to the Louvre) were staggeringly beautiful works of art.
All of these were with a1 + 16-35GM II, handheld, and represent a crop to about 1/5 of the original frame. Its close focus capabilities could have gone closer, but there was a relatively thick protective glass fairly distant from the jewelry. I was impressed at how these turned out, in spite of the obstacles.
Some landscapes for a change.
