Drove to the Whitehouse after Christmas dinner to see the "National Christmas Tree" and the "National Menorah" . I must say this year's National Christmas tree is way below the average National Christmas Tree I have seen, very short, skinny and the branches are less than uniform. The decorations are very skimpy. This is not meant to be a political statement, just my observation as someone who has gone to see the tree many years. So please don't get political over my observation. The third picture is the Washington Monument, to the right of the monument, is the "National Menorah:, which was first lit this afternoon.
Happy New Year to all my FM friends!
The Whitehouse is in the background on the left.

Osprey are a big part of photography along the Florida coast. I helped free this one after it got tangled in a fishing line one afternoon and captured a series of close-up images before it returned to the sky.
I found out early yesterday that some photos of mine that were submitted to a magazine by the model were not only accepted but I got the cover shot and a photo credit on the cover. It was quite the surprise and made for a pretty nice Christmas present.
I went out on Christmas Day evening in the misting rain to see owls. It was not good conditions at all, but I managed a few. I caught the last few as I was leaving out of the vehicle window. It was as if the spiders had hung Christmas lights.
