I had to stalk this high mountain Ruffed Grouse for about 15 minutes before he showed enough of himself for a quick picture. All I had was a 70-200 and was wishing for more reach, but I'm happy with this result.

Today we had to say goodbye to our amazing feline boy, Max. For 16 1/2 years he brought so much joy to our home. He will forever be in our hearts.
It is so very much sad to say farewell to such a good, old friend.I used to undergo such heartbreaking experience a few times recently.Way too many.

Excellent B@W BOMONO! They look like real pictures from some XIXth century's atlas.
Thank you Piotr, for the compliment you are always most kind my friend
I used to make/teach back in the 80's and 90's how to produce many different types of alternative prints in the darkroom (Platinum, cyanotype amongst a few).
Nowadays, I try my best to replicate them digitally (blending grain with hand made paper scans, then tone to suit the process) The trick is to find suitable subject matter that appears ageless.
I'm not sure the GiF conversion is worth posting. I hope for clear skies tonight to get 4-500 images for a timelapse. This is only 60 images from a couple of nights ago. I had to convert this to a GIF since I don't know how to post the video if at all possible.

Another stunning B@W set Barry, that creates "that" feeling. For many reasons I prefer colour photography, but it is a great pleasure to see the exquisite samples of B@W like yours!

Thank you again Piotr.....
If I have conveyed the 'feeling' of reproducing the style of old photographic images digitally on the screen, I really couldn't ask for a nicer compliment than that my friend...Thank you so much
I enjoy colour images very much, I'm just not as good as others here like yourself at seeing or producing them....Cheers Barry
