Few aurora shots from Czech Middle Mountains in the Czech Republic.
A7RV, all from 20/1.8G at f/1.8, ISO 320, 10s exposures.
























This one is a blended composite from multiple shots from same tripod position. The color in top right corner comes from the aurora.

Sunday night in West Virginia. First time ever shooting the aurora. At this location that night it appeared very subdued to my 72 year old naked eyes, but the cameras and post processing in DXO and Lightroom revealed much, much more. Two shots with different cameras and lenses made about an hour apart. The lightweight (230g) Samyang 24/1.8 has a neat feature, i.e., a one button infinity/star focus, which I liked. Nice companion for my A7CR. I enjoyed the evening. Steve

Thank you very much Steve! I was going to ask you if you shot the the aurora before you posted the fantastic pictures!! I heard about it, but my mind was on getting ready for the airshow in N.C. as I had to leave my house at 2:15 AM Saturday morning to drive down there. It was supposed to be cloudy in our area too so I never gave it serious thoughts. I have never seen aurora in person. Some people got beautiful aurora shots from our area too, so I missed this extremely rare opportunity.

The time when bear's garlic blooms in the forest is extraordinary. The sharp light of the May sun filters through the young, green leaves, filling it with a greenish glow. And the pleasant smell of garlic hangs everywhere.
