Just amazing to see so many beautiful aurora images from different parts of this country and the world this time!
My last installment from the airshow last Saturday. For those who may be interested, the Blue Angels IMAX movie will be released on May 17. These pilots are truly creme de la creme in their profession. While it's exciting for us to watch, it's a risky business for them, more than a few have lost their lives during training and shows over the course of the Blue Angels 78 years of history.
This first picture below is the formation where they fly the F-18 Super Hornets 18 inches from each other.

Some shots from a spring visit (the first) to the family's cabin a ways north. The brochures for the nearby national park (Sonfjället) and surrounding areas don't really mention lots of possible activities for spring and I can sort of see why. Some roads were still impassable (snow and melt) and the mountain regions still have two decimiters of snow, more complete coverage the higher you go. It's melting and patchy below the treeline, hard to ski and walk on
Still nice to be out, pleasant temperatures (plus degrees) and no bugs. The marshland ('myrmark') by the cabin was partially snow covered by a decimiter or two of heavy wet snow and where it wasn't the terrain looked a bit flattened. If I had been expecting butterflies and flowers I would have been disappointed but I wasn't, I just needed some time off and outdoors.
