Just a few minutes ago I was sitting in my back yard reading in a chair. I took a few videos of several hummingbirds feeding at our feeder and then thought, "Why not get a few shots with my camera?" So I went to grab the 200-600, but my chair was fairly close to the feeder and I put on the 70-200II and it was perfect.

Thank you Douglas.In Poland every bigger city has it's own christmas fair.They usually start from the beginning of December ,opening the yearly December magic and running up untill 23th of December.At 6th of December we celebrate the day to commemorate Bishop Saint Nicholas from Myra,which stands for Santa Claus,where nearly everyone is given a gift.On December the 24th everything must be cleared out to celebrate Christmas Eve.In Poland it is much more important than Christmas itself.Families are gathering togheter then to eat a ceremonial evening dinner that should consist of at least 12 courses,make wishes and sing christmas carols.At that moment under the christmas tree everyone should be getting a gift again.Christmas fairs are very popular .Wroclaw,my home city,situated in Lower Silesia/South-Western Poland,has a big christmas fair,visited every year by hundreds of thousands of people from Poland and abroad.

Thank you for sharing the wonderful information! Very interesting to learn. I will be going to Washington DC to photograph some Christmas lights but nothing as festive like yours.
Some birds pix near the Lincoln Memorial yesterday morning;
A7c ii + Sigma 45/2,8. They balance well and the Sigma's AF is spotless at f/5,6 and near infinity. Not so much near mfd wide open, which is a bit of a bummer as it has very nice bokeh. Well I like the A7c ii very much. Nice shutter sound, the silver doesn't look cheap, fast operation, and it can fit in a pocket with its kit lens or this Sigma for instance. The only minor niggle so far is the power switch. The protrusion has switched places from what I'm used to and I almost stretch my finger out of alignment sometimes trying to switch it on or off. I expect I shall get used to it ( well at least if I stop using the A7rii ) . I hope you all are having a nice December!
Two more of the Potala Palace, from the CY Contax 21/2.8. There is no steel in the structure, which was the largest inhabited building in the world before the skyscraper era. It's not as tall as it looks - the main seven stories are draped across a prominent hill, with fewer stories near the top of the underlying land surface. The walls are from three to five metres thick; they are filled with molten copper. It's largely a giant mud brick and wood abode. Tibet never invented or adopted the stone arch, in fact you don't see stone mega-structures across the Himalaya - too many earthquakes. The big palace gets a new coat of whitewash each year after the rains.
Fun with the 7Artisan 9MM F5.6. The distance markings aren't exactly accurate, but the lens impresses me for its modest price and really nice IQ. My copy is best at F11 with focus set at 1M. Pretty much a point and shoot then.
