Nice! I think my wife picked the Yeatman Hotel for our stay, which is supposed to have its own view. We'll see of course, but it's exciting. Last time we didn't even see the southern part of the city Thank you for your tips and tricks!

Thank you Joshua! I too did a fair mount of research on the locations for sunrise/sunset. The problem for me is we didn't have enough days there to try different locations. In Lisbon for the sunrise I took a taxi (Bolt) to the most popular location for sunrise, even though it's a 17-minute walk from our hotel, but it's uphill and I didn't want to get lost and waste my time, the location for the second sunrise in Lisbon was 8 km away from our hotel, I took taxi there too. I got my best shot from Lisbon from there. The third sunrise ( the long bridge) in Lisbon I also to a taxi, 5 km away. In Porto I just walked to my favorite spot from our hotel for every sunrise and sunset, it was a 6-minute walk. Look forward to seeing you hot air balloon shots! My daughter did the balloon ride in Turkey, soon after the recent earthquake.

What a shot, Joshua! I would be scared to death in that basket! I have acrophobia.
Narrow streets in old town area in Porto, Portugal.
A little story of the yellow house in the 5th picture, in one morning my wife and I walked up from the street on the right in the picture, as we were taking pictures of the yellow house, a dude came out from the shadow on the street on the left of the picture, waving his hand saying "no pictures, no pictures", we didn't understand what the fuss was about as we had not encountered anything like that in Portugal. We walked away after taking a few more shots. In that afternoon I went back to the same area, this time by accident I walked up from the street on the left of the picture, I saw what I believed to be some drug deals going on, this time a different guy said "no pictures". In the US if I went to a place like that I would probably be robbed or shot, but in Portugal I got a few pictures of the beautiful streets.

I decided to take my camera with me while walking my kids to school this morning and was rewarded by a group of turkeys wandering around our neighborhood. Taken with the Tamron 70-180mm.

Yesterday, we encountered this awesomely restored/customized VW Westfalia Vanagon at the Hoh River campground, in Olympic Nat'l Park. I estimate to be '86 model (or later) with many aftermarket features, including fantastic paint job.

Taken from the terrace of Glacier Cafe, the best location for sunset in Marrakech. You just have to buy a drink to go up there and since no alcohol drink is allowed, then a soda will have to do. The price was about $2.00. Get there early to get the best spot. I sat next to a British couple and the guy was also using Sony.
