Looking at roses from our front garden.
Cropped from the bottom and top, Tripod mounted A1 and Voigtlander 110mm f2.5 Macro Apo-Lanthar,FE mount; sil ent shutter. 2 Macro Focusing rails were used to position the camera and lens on the tripod head and tripod. The lower focusing rail for the X-axis (left and right postioning) was the Leofoto MP-180S and the upper focusing rail for the Y-axis (front and back positioning) was the Swebo LS001.
ISO 200, f8, 1/40 Second (in some wind).

Neat shot ! These little guys seem to be everywhere . They originated in Cuba and the Bahamas , got here probably through the import of plants, are are rapidly expanding. They are highly invasive and a threat to the green anole.

Thank you very much, Birdie! Here as in the US or Louisiana in particular? I didn’t know that they do pose a threat to the green anoles… .

From what I read they first showed up in Florida in the 1970’s. Now found all along the Gulf Coast and as far as southern California.
Started seeing them in my garden several years ago. Let me just say they are quite numerous and seem to multiply quickly. I see very tiny ones all over . The green anoles get relegated to staying in the trees to try to avoid them as they will eat the green anoles which are generally smaller. I see very few green anoles now.

I posted a few images using the new GM 24-70mm II previously. One of the images was a crop and this is a zoomed in image of a similar scene and for good measure, I also cropped that to approximately 100% and post the crop here. The details are amazing, even at wide open aperture…
