With all my due respect for all amazing lenses from Sony universe, as "the one the only lens for travel" 2470GM rules.
During this trip I scrutinized if Big Tamron Boy 35150 is better - for me the answer is NO, too long on the short end. Just for me, people are different.
Remember when the high megapixel bodies were released and they said older lenses would not do well on such a demanding sensor ... is that true ? This 60 year old lens does just fine IMO.
Looking at farmers fields near the intersection of Loch Valley Road and Stony Ridge Road. Some of the fields have yet to be planted and the farmer with his tractor can be seen preparing the fields can be seen near the upper left third.

From this month's family outing to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. The Hughes H-4 Hercules, aka The Spruce Goose, is displayed there among many, many other aircraft and spacecraft. The Spruce Goose is the largest flying boat ever built. It was built for transatlantic transport during WWII and flew only once, for 26 seconds, before the war (and the need for the plane) ended. The size of the plane, both inside and out, is just immense. I needed a wider lens! The museum is amazing. Highly recommend it! Steve

Steve, not sure if you have visited the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. I was there a couple weeks ago, absolutely amazing. I have been to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles Airport many times, amazing place but the one in Dayton has a HUGE collection.
