Wilhelm...looking forward to more images with your 35-70! As far as the reflection on the sensor goes, I'm baffled. It does it more with my 100 Planar than the 35-70. I've heard that it's possibly my adapter, so that's why the gaffers tape inside.

Gregg; you do need an all black adapter with no chrome parts inside from around 50mm and above, otherwise your images are wasted by reflections. I use one from Kipon for C/Y, half the price from the Novoflex.
This counts for almost all mounts exept Canon FD and M42.

Thanks Michiel...
The one I use is a Fotodiox...it's all black, but it's not matte black. Somewhat shiny...that's why I tried gaffers tape...I might have to get the one from Kipon...

Aquarella is fun program to use every now and then to play around with and I suppose you could do it enough to get some pretty good results. Some images work better then others never really know till you try them. This one is blended with a b&w layer to bring out little more detail. Printed on watercolor paper gives even more life like results.
Man, I like these tiny combo
Lone Cypress...right? 17 mile drive in Carmel. Great shot! Been years since I've seen it, and I only live an hour away!!

I was talking photography with a contractor I work with and he was telling me how he was once very into film photography. He even had a darkroom in his house. He was telling me about all his film lenses he had (a lot of high-end AIS) and that he quit once everything went digital. I told him that his lenses are making a comeback and told him about lightroom and mirrorless cameras. Then.... I pulled out the A7 out of my backpack with the Canon FL 58/1.2 attached, and let him hold it as I powered it up. Took some test shots showing him focus peaking and magnification. He was amazed. Pulled him aside and started combing through these threads and he was blown away. I had my first convert. Hallelujah!
This is a pic I took of him in a poorly lit room at 2000 ISO, wide open. This is the look of amazement.
I know this lens isn't fondly regarded, based on the research I've done. But, I think it's a keeper. Would much rather have the rokkor 58/1.2, but this one is much more affordable.

Nice shot Dale! That WATE is quite fantastic!
More with my cheap ole NEX extension tube...7mm on my Leica Summicron R 50
Gregg
Hi Gregg,
These are really nice shots. If you don't know about it, there is a close focus lens that Leica developed just for the 50R summicron called the elpro 1. I had one when I had the lens and it works very well for these types of shots. You might prefer it to the 7mm extension tube.
