Thank you very much, Jim! Fairly simply done, too; the main light is from the (visible) window to the right and a little bit of fill light via flash inside a soft box from my left.
I already posted a related image in a different thread. This is another one (from A1 + Tamron 35-150) on the subject "Poor man's paradise - cheap seaside hotel." I like bright colors.
Thanks. Yes, eventually I did; two buckets of packed snow equals half a bucket of water as it turned out. I needed water for washing the dishes on day one though. Well, will be better prepared next time : )
