I have been told that there is color cast with the WATE. Could owners of the lens confirm it?
Hi Fred. With respect to the A7r and WATE, there is sometimes a marginal color cast depending on the lighting. This is very quickly fixed in PP. This is no different with M9/M240 either, as there is also a cast depending on the angle of lighting.
The combo of WATE and A7r is probably the best WA setup I have owned, in terms of IQ, DR and weight/size ratio.
So, after taking in all of Ronny's macro's with his ZF 100 MP, I decided I had to jump into the fray of macro photography, besides using my Contax 35-70!! So here goes(Thanks Ronny, and Jeremy, too)...
All shots taken with Contax Planar 100 f2 with cheap ole Fotodiox NEX extension tubes from Amazon(7mm, 14, and 28)
Let me know what you guys think, although I have a long way to go to catch up to Ronny

I decided to sell my backup M240, and have the A7r and A7s as my backups now. I still have my M240, excellent is every respect, but having the A7s has dramatically expanded the style of images that can be captured in low light. The AF is amazing with virtually no light, and start up time seems to be a lot faster. The mount seems to have better tolerances, and is very snug with the FE 55 and Novoflex adapters.
From the files I have seen with the A7s, files are excellent, very robust, and will great for the very low light street portraits.
First series of shots this afternoon in the office with Carina. First two are the 50 Lux Asph, with the B&W via SEP II, and the last two are with the FE 55 also with the B&W via SEP II. There is no PP of images captured via LR.
A few photos with the Mitakon 50mm f0.95. A friend bought it and was out of town when it arrived, so I got to test drive it. All photos wide open. As others have stated, there is some kind of wide aperture w/ full frame sensor thing going on (depth of field indicates f/0.95, but the shutter speed and ISO don't really show a change from f/1.4 to f/0.95. The lens is heavy, but is sharp at 0.95. It's difficult to shoot moving targets (the carousel shot was with it moving - luckily it comes back to the same distance 15-20 times, so easier to pre-focus). My younger one doesn't slow down much (it's now 1AM and she just woke up for a snack).
And some from my FE 35mm f2.8. Using the Large Flex spot and f2.8 in the evening or indoors, I'm finding focus to be quite a bit better than with small flex spot or wide (works well in good light).
Gregg - good start ! The biggest issues with macro are getting enough light and getting enough DoF !
Stopping down and introducing a non-ambient light source (dual flash, spots, dual LEDs or even a natural-light-temperature torch !) will do wonders (if you don't want to get into stacking) and allow you to get to f8 or smaller.
A7s with FE 35 @ ISO 8000 and 12800. Love being able to shoot in very low light with reasonable shutter speeds and maintain some DR and decent color (these look nice in color as well).

Beautiful image. Looks like I need to try out the same lens. I see you're from Malaga. One of my favorite places I've ever been. Loved Malaga/Torremolinos, Spain and Vina Del Mar, Chile when I visited while in the Navy 20 some years ago.
