Another "portrait" of an Inuit stone carving that's been in my family since before I was born. Shot on an A7 iii with a 1970s-era Minolta Rokkor 55mm/1.7 lens, wide open for the amazing bokeh, played around with the curves and saturation in Capture One trying to make the colors at least slightly reminiscent of the northern lights.

Thank you Rene, John! We all need some entertainment during this depressing time.

@john, the F-35's demo pilot is a female flier with over 900 hours in both the F-22 and F-35. #5 of the Thunderbird team is a female pilot too, she is in the inverted jet in the 3rd picture and last picture.

Český Krumlov in Jihočeský Kraj - picturesque medieval little town beautifully placed in Vltava River bend, to the South of České Budiejowice and not far away from Austrian border.

To me the most attractive little old town in the whole Central and Eastern Europe,if not in the whole of Europe by means of well preserved, well maintained historical buildings and places.

The façades of the majority of beautifully decorated town houses are in the mannerist or early baroque style, with rich sgraffiti typical of the whole Bohemia's buildings from that era.
The ground floors and cellars yet, bear the strong feature of the ripe, late, European, urban Gothic.

The enormous (bigger than Prague's Hradcany IMO) castle dominates the hill above the city, and from the high bridge, there is a breathtaking view of the town. Also there are several viewpoints with similar, beautiful city panoramas in many other places of the city.

I don't want to bore you more about it, but I definitely recommend the place.

Please bare in mind, that most of presented pictures were taken in unfavourable harsh sunlight.Imagine how the whole scene would look like in other kinds of lighting.....November fogs,,,,or January hoar frost,,,,or October autumn colours....
