Images of the interior of Catherine Palace, St. Petersburg, Russia - Too bad, it is strictly prohibited to take pictures of the Amber Room and you don't want to mess around with those Russian babushkas that guarded the palace.
Here's a quick one from my first time walking around with the A7/G45 combo. Indianapolis 500 parade, which just happens to go down my street in downtown Indy. The shot is actually a fairly heavy crop, indicating to me how amazing this combination is. Spades of sharpness and three-dimensionality from the lens, and the sensor provides great resolution and some of the best dynamic range anywhere.

So you're saying "babushkas" guard the Palace now? What happened to the Russian soldiers?
Oh, never mind, the news is on
I didn't see any soldiers inside, not even a single one but tons of babushkas to deal with visitors. And that's what I meant with "guarding the palace" and believe me, most of them looked kind of mean . I am not sure whether they really are but I would rather not find out. BTW, they don't like to be labeled as "babushkas" but all the guides referred to them as such .
Absolutely fantastic shots on this page!
Jack...How would you rate the CV 50 1.5 vs your Summicron R 50? I ask, because I've got one coming on Tuesday, and I would like to hear(or anyone, really!) opinoins! Everything I've seen so far with it looks great!
