I'm coming to like the FE 85/1.8. It's sharp as buggery and sad to say for some shots it counts bigly. I suspect Sony is cooking the RAWs in some way to deal with diffraction (which it appears can be done with sophisticated algos and the input data from the shot). Which would make sense in a consumer 85, where new users can get into trouble a bit. Better still, the color response handles well in strong light; this shot is not as easy as it looks in final form. The lens' images can take a lot of treatment in post, the base canvas is clean but flat.
Great photos from Bodie Dale!
My partner and I visited about 15 years ago and loved it. We had the whole place to ourself and suddenly it started snowing. Big slow falling flakes that really added to the atmosphere.
I too have some decay to post (old cars), but first some from a recent foggy morning taken with Lensbaby Burnside 35:

Great images of Bodie! The only time I was there I was shooting 12x20 ULF. Bodie is a great place for LF or ULF.
Thanks for sharing brings back memories.

Thank you, Ryan! Wow, I thought 8X10 negative plates were big and fairly bulky, let alone 12X20! I believe this guy had a dozen or so of those plates he stored/carried in a separate case. It definitely required a deliberate exposure, one at a time and the focusing was done under the black cloth/cover. I didn't see him use any loupe but I am sure he had to use one for that, too.

I tried some star trail shooting at Mono Lake. There were at least 3 groups that evening/night there. They also did some light painting activities, causing various light leaks. I removed a few weird looking frames from the composition. Oh, well. This exposure took over an hour of some 120 files of 30 sec each using Laowa 15mm f/2
Recent bridge closure means my commute is now 60 miles round trip which isn't too fun, but the upside is its more scenic. Related, these cows were NOT having me. They all got together and followed me down the road to yell at me while I took the shot with the mailbox.
