Cold, dark, rainy day in ghost town, Bodie, California. This has to be in my top five favorite places to shoot in the entire world. This day I shot with a single lens all day - Sony ILCE-7RM3 with FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM.

Great images from Bodie, Dale! I was there, too, last week . You are sure you didn't use a large format (8"X10") field camera while out there?

Joshua, sounds like we just missed each other. I was there last week also. That would have been interesting to meet. I never saw the large format guy.
Dale, we, 3 shooting buddies and I, were there last Thursday, Oct 11. All 4 of us are quite active on FM, but I am the only Sony shooter, at least currently. One is about to cave in, I suspect . It drizzled on us that day and the sky was pretty dark but that made the images more dramatic.
Like you, I enjoy shooting in Bodie and since I was there several times, I was a little bit more selective this time around. I love the old, abandoned cars, carts, etc.

Great images of Bodie! The only time I was there I was shooting 12x20 ULF. Bodie is a great place for LF or ULF.
Challenged myself with a bit longer focal length at the "Carnival of Light" that was in a local amusement park Linnanmäki. Shot with an A7III & SMC Pentax-M 100mm f/2.8. The dynamic range on these cameras is insane and the IBIS ain't no gimmick. Only got this wonderful little lens the very same day and I really wanted to put it in a test. I think it succeeded with flying colors and now I've found my go-to portrait lens. It's only 225 grams (plus adapter) and about the size of FE55/1.8 when adapter is attached. I've used several manual Pentax lenses before but this one is now my favourite.
MM404, this time it was not so bad, not as bad as it looks anyway, lol. I'm a high road beta tester. I have no idea how they will get regular drivers over this one, however. Here is another from the FE 55/1.8. This scene: sometimes I have to help with drivers' decision-making clarity. Here I am encouraging them to believe they can make it over the unstable active scree slope - it's only five seconds. If fate determines the end comes here, it's going to be fast.
Some landscape astrophotography in the SF Bay Area with the Zeiss Loxia 25 and a Hoya intensifier filter. Took this on my way back from work. This is one of my go to spots to test new camera lenses I buy - looks much better at night!
Taken at my oldest friends mother's funeral. This is Pip who I had not seen for many years. The FE55 just renders beautifully and is ideal being so small and light for photography at these sort of affairs. Also I love the 'filmic grain' quality of the A7rIII at ISO 16000
