Some shots from a late afternoon exploraton of the Letchworth State Park, New York waterfalls. The one with the hot air balloon was a nice surprise as I just happened to notice two balloons being rigged up in a field close to the Upper Falls for a sunset flight. I waited patiently for almost an hour anticipating that they would fly up and over the cargo train bridge and upper falls. Well one did and one didn't, so it still ended up a worthwhile wait : ) The Balloon shot is a composite with the falls exposure at 1/8 sec. using a Breakthrough 3-Stop ND Filter.
I used my Lee Seven 5 filter holder - with 3, 6, and 10 stop IRND filters on the Loxia 85 and my Breakthrough 6-Stop or 10-Stop Screw in filters with the 16-35 GM.
The Lower Falls - A7R3 with Loxia 85 f/2.4
Inspiration Point - View of the Middle Falls and the Upper Falls down the Genesee River Gorge A7R3 with Loxia 85 f/2.4
The Middle Falls - with Sony FE 16-35 f/2.8 GM
Hot Air Balloon flying above the Upper Falls - with Sony FE 16-35 f/2.8 GM (composite shot)
VERY nice--in fact, simply gorgeous. Enough in the forground to make it interested, and a superb seeing of the mountain. Thx for posting, Aztatlan; I wish it were mine. .
Ronny thank you so much!
I realize I'm the elementary student in this thread and so so many incredible images from so many to spur me on!
For your Iceland work, I've said it before, words just fail. Just know I greatly admire your talent.
