A few more from Maui. These from Honolua Bay. It used to be a great snorkeling bay to see Sea Turtles and other ocean life. This was our first time there in 11 years. The pics don't show it(except for the catamarans) but the place is so over touristy all...Show more →

Fantastic grabs all! Joshua, Butch, Rene, Olaf, Werner(have to agree with Butch!)....wow!
Butch and Joshua...I(we) had a super time on Kauai. 13 days of bliss. AND, my wife and I bailed for Maui on her bday for 3 days and left Mason and Gio with our friend Sarah and Mike(father-in-law)! Great time! Most of my shooting took place during the daytime. My cheapo tripod leg clamp broke somehow someway so I wasn't able to do anything other than handheld. No biggie. I'm not much of a tripod shooter anyways!

This is why I bought the Batis 25 in the first place; for handheld low light shooting. Wide open:

What I don't like is the color noise produced by the A7II sensor even at low ISO. Look at the lower part of the water and you'll see it.

Edit: Since I don't have any use for high resolution, I'd be better off with the A7SII, but it's just too damn expensive.
