I helped out a little and took a few shots yesterday
Wow! Some super spectacular grabs everyone!
Dale, Butch, Werner, Rene, Phillippe, kierzkow, Olaf, Bob, two-eye, Joshua....I apologize if I haven't mentioned anyone.
Kierzkow...love the mountain grab with the Contax 35-70. Still my favorite landscape zoom!
Joshua...owls are incredibly impressive!
Butch...Ireland. Really?? Hmmmm....can't let my wife see those
Dale...Scotland! Really??
I gotta get out more!
A few more from Maui. These from Honolua Bay. It used to be a great snorkeling bay to see Sea Turtles and other ocean life. This was our first time there in 11 years. The pics don't show it(except for the catamarans) but the place is so over touristy all the fishy's are gone. 🤔 Still had fun!

Thank you Gregg. The Contax 35-70 is indeed an incredible lens, as you and others have shown time and time again.
This lens together with Sony FE 16-35 and Voigtlander 12 take care of about 70-80% of my shots these days.
I also have a great liking for Contax C/Y 85/1.4 but it does weight quite a bit.
Having watched this thread for a year, I would love to add Contax 100-300 Vario-Sonnar to my arsenal.
In addition to portraits, there is another type of photography I love. No, not landscape although yes, I love landscape photography, too but I am referring to wildlife photography. For Sony mirrorless system users though, it is a daunting task but I managed to get something to work with AF. Here is an image of 1,120mm at wide open that I captured today just a few hours ago and yes, it is confirmed the AF works! I will start a thread later but for right now here is the image and its crop to show the details. I will start a thread later on and I will reveal the "secret". I am still working on images from this morning, including a BiF image. FYI, the main lens is my Canon EF 400mm f/2.8 IS Mark II....Show more →
How would a broad leaf of a house plant look under my macro lens? Well, here is the result. I wanted to capture the intricate paths and geometric shapes in the leaf. I used the light from my iphone to light under the leaf.
Greg yes we had a great time in Ireland and looks like you did the same in Hawaii.
Werner, I know Philippe and others have said it many times over but your eye for composition is unmatched whether it be landscapes, buildings, people, color, black and white etc. I'm sure I speak for others that your images are a great inspiration to everyone.
Joshua also a great variety in your work. I have really enjoyed your Portraits recently.
Here are three more with the A9 and 70-200 GM from the wedding in Ireland.
