Got out at lunch today to shoot with my new to me Zeiss 85/4 ZM. Everything that Fred, Guy and everyone else has said about this lens is absolutely true. The lens is a stunner. All are at f/8 except the last which is wide open at f/4. TAP allows me to get closer than MFD and creates some background blur.
One more, this an 8-image handheld Pano with the Zeiss 85/4 ZM. The detail is crazy. I can read the name of the crane company on the cranes in the distance.
Just received a Sony A7II! It is incredibly rainy today in Alabama, so didn't get to play with it much. This is rather boring, just a shot of some leaves off my back porch, but I'm so excited to have a new camera!!! : )

Voigtlander 180mm f/4 @ f/4.
Glad you like it too!It was after acquiring the A7M2 that all my longer MF telephotos are in regular use handheld.Sensor stabilization is a real game changer.I'm about to sell my trusty A7 and A7R and getting the second A7M2 or A7M2R if I fancy.
This is more a landscape image showing sun rays filtered through openings in the clouds. Normally, this phenomenon doesn't last long but this particular one lasted for some 10-20 minutes. Well, it did changed somewhat and the intensity varied but it was there for a fairly long time. Yes, basically no wind.
The snow geese (lighter) and sandhill cranes (darker) just happened to be there . Actually, I waited for the flock, which seemed a lot but it was only a tiny fraction of the total number of birds, to blast off. They circled around and landed approximately at the same spot. Something, probably coyotes, spooked them and triggered the blast off when they were feeding in the field.
I like yours, Werner - thank you! Frankly, I considered converting that to B&W and when I saw yours, I did that immediately .
Another great optic at the short telephoto range for the A7rII. The Contax G90/2.8 renders wonderfully. And there's a Techart AF adapter for Contax G lenses to Sony FE. It's a half step below the TAP but works very well with this lens.
