This is more a landscape image showing sun rays filtered through openings in the clouds. Normally, this phenomenon doesn't last long but this particular one lasted for some 10-20 minutes. Well, it did changed somewhat and the intensity varied but it was there for a fairly long time. Yes, basically no wind.

The snow geese (lighter) and sandhill cranes (darker) just happened to be there . Actually, I waited for the flock, which seemed a lot but it was only a tiny fraction of the total number of birds, to blast off. They circled around and landed approximately at the same spot. Something, chances were coyotes, spooked them and triggered the blast off when they were feeding in the field.

I like yours, Werner - thank you! Frankly, I considered converting that to B&W and when I saw yours, I did that immediately .
