Good friends of ours wanted a "just a few quick shots to use as engagement pictures" & asked if I could help. Were only out there probably 20 minutes but got what they wanted. A7R2 & Batis 85 were a good combo for it.
The SR shot is at F5.6 so the size and shape of the sun stars is a bit inconsistent. I used the traffic lines from the F11 shot as the SR app was not as pretty but in doing so on the left white traffic lines I had to replace the sun stars too and that altered their shape. Anyway, it was an experiment!
I just took delivery of a new to me Zeiss Tele-Tessar 85/4 ZM. Lovely, small, sturdy and works well with TAP. Even at f/4 you can get some decent bokeh setting the lens at MFD using TAP.

Actually that surprises me. The broken orange line is from the brake lights of a stop/start vehicle joining the main stream. Surely that would be a continuous line if a 30s exposure ?

Well, the linked image I provided was a continuous 30 second exposure. There were several vehicles with flashing lights on them--police, vans, trucks, etc. that made for some strange looking light patterns in some of the shots. I am not at home now, but can post examples. That is the only explanation I can give--that and stop and start traffic as you say.
Edit: On further looking at the 30 second image, I see lots of broken lines in the other portions of the image. Traffic was really stop and go. A 10 or 15 second exposure did not get a very good result... Here is the linked 30 second exposure, ISO 50, F11:
The first image is from Canyon Overlook. It's a nice moderate level morning hike starting off in the early morning darkness and climbing to the overlook spot prior to sunrise. As the sun climbs above the canyon walls behind you it lights up the Towers of the Virgin in the distance. It's fun to do this hike and shot one morning and to do the more iconic shot of the sunrise on the Towers of the Virgin another morning. This second shot is from the morning after the Canyon Overlook hike with the view of the Towers of the Virgin from behind the Zion Natural History Museum.
I took the Canyon Overlook shot with my A6300 and the Zeiss Touit 12mm f/2.8 lens. I did a time lapse with this setup and this is the last image from the time lapse series.
The second shot was with my A7r2 and FE 24-70 f/2.8 GM lens @ 48mm and an 8 vertical image panorama.

On closer inspection the broken orange lights are so regular that I can only assume the vehicle moved at a fixed speed and the orange light is possibly the rotating light on top of a recovery tow truck or similar. Interesting anyway - though maybe not for a lot of people so enough of this
As some people may be aware the greatest migration on earth is about to take place, and no I'm not talking about the Wildebeest in Africa ! It is estimated 3 BILLION trips will be made during this Chinese New Year and the decorations are getting into full swing :

I'm not sure I'd eat one of these caramel mice after he's blown into it though. Actually I am - I wouldn't !
