Werner, is this a tiny hotspot in the center of this image?
I am not so sure about that can be a hotspot, reflection or flare.
These were stressing situations to shot IR because of the low and strong winter sun and almost backlit conditions. You get very fast lots of reflections and flares.
The 16-35/4 is a good lens for IR (as is the 24-70/4 ZA, two lenses that came to use again with the IR conversion of the A7R) but it is not hotspot free, if you see the hotspot depends highly on the shooting conditions. Most of the time i don't care about it, if so, i reduce the effect in pp (radial filter). I saw this spot and left it as one more hint to the sun.....
Daughter & partner put us up in one of Shanghai's 5 star hotels, the Park Hyatt, for a couple of nights for Xmas & my birthday (26th). Unfortunately the clouds barely parted in that time (at over 90 floors up you are often in the clouds) ! Some lovely views of Lvijiazui (Shanghai's financial district and where most of the mega-towers reside) when the clouds ascended for a few moments though. This of the 'granddaddy' (referring to age not height !) of all Shanghai's towers, the Pearl Oriental Tower.
A7rii and 3 shot vertical panorama with the Batis 85/1.8.
Looking from Schooner Head overlook at Egg Rock (Island) and Egg Rock Light (and appurtenant buildings and structures) and the Maine mainland. Egg Rock Lighthouse is outside of Acadia NP, is about 2 miles from Mount Desert Island and sits at the mouth of Frenchman Bay.

Michael, thank you very much. Wow, the images of that resort is St. Augustine stand out!
Here are two more images from the Golden Door or Keyhole Rock at Pfeiffer Beach, Big Sur, California.
The first image - while folks were taking pictures at frantic pace to take advantage of the limited time slot for the sunburst, a seagull just landed it front of us . Hey, why not, huh? I am glad I had two bodies with different lenses to take advantage of the brief moment. The second image was captured handheld while the other camera was working on the SRA.

These are cropped to 16 x 9 format
I have a weakness for night cityscapes but these are amazing
As anticipated, second part of that set with Tobey in action
