Thank you very much, René. Your images never ceased to amaze me! Merry Christmas to you, too!
Thank you, Chris! I am working on more images as we speak. Yes, we miss Charles.... . You will like the new Sony FE 90mm macro lens.

Happy Holidays to my wonderful friends and your families
The Sony thread has a wonderful friendship based forum which is very special in so many ways. Technical discussions can become very dry but it is support and warmth which makes this forum unique.
Chris and Joshua, thank you so much for you kind words
Everyone, this thread is always amazing with great photographers and images.
Ronny Olsson, what adapter do you use with the 100 makro planar? I tried a Metabones with that lens on an A7Rii several months ago and the camera kept freezing. I absolutely love that lens and would love to rely on it, but I just had no confidence with the lockups.

Have you checked the Metabones site to make sure that you have the latest firmware - I had lockups on my A7R2 until I did a firmware upgrade, at which time they disappeared...
Merry Christmas! I too am amazed by the recent pages displayed here. Truly inspirational and its like a day by day snapshot of the world without without the news headlines. I love it! Here are a few more shots from the past few days between rain showers. all with A7RII and FE 24-70 GM

A few images from Pfeiffer Beach. I saw that seagull fly around and I was hoping that it would fly in the front of the opening and it did! I need to buy some lottery tickets now.... Smooth reflection app was used for the second image, BTW.
Re: the seagull. You have quick reflexes in addition to an excellent picture.

Wow! There's a flurry of some really great pics!
I guess I'll post some filler on this page! Working on files from older trips that I never processed. Seemed to be a good thing to do with it snowing all day outside.
A7r + Leica WATE
Happy Holidays!
Dave
Can't call that one a filler, Dave - its a gorgeous shot - what a landscape!

Gorgeous images, Joshua! Thanks.
Is this near Malibu in the mountains?
Thank you, K-H! No, along the coast at Pismo Beach. From the two butterfly sanctuaries I visited last week, this is the best. Still you need some reach as they are quite high up in those eucalyptus trees but the view of the butterfly clusters is unobstructed. They will stay for several more weeks at those places. It is worth visiting. I can give you a more detailed direction if you plan of going.
