A few images from Pfeiffer Beach. I saw that seagull fly around and I was hoping that it would fly in the front of the opening and it did! I need to buy some lottery tickets now.... Smooth reflection app was used for the second image, BTW.
Spectacular Joshua! Love the last one in particular. Seems you have been lucky also with weather condition when I was there, to change lens I had to come back to car park due to extra water spray in the air...

Some more from Yosemite with Bobby and Luz
Manuel
Thank you, Manuel! Since I am semi-local, I could pick the best days weather-wise to do my trip, after reviewing the long-term weather forecast for that location. I setup my gear without getting any spray and I ran quite a bit of the smooth reflection app. Actually, at the sunset, or shortly before that, that place is quite spectacular. Just the sky was too sterile for my taste but otherwise, it was, well, exquisite. Sorry, I am not rubbing it in..... There is always next time for you.
The beach was wide open but there were 25 photographers or so crammed at the same spot to get the starburst of the setting sun through the opening. Seriously, tripod to tripod and people at your knee and over your shoulder, trying to get the starburst. Plus, a lot of folks with their cell phones or just watched the sunset.... Check this image out:
Those are great images from Yosemite, Manuel! I missed that trip with you guys.... .
I guess I'll post some filler on this page! Working on files from older trips that I never processed. Seemed to be a good thing to do with it snowing all day outside.

Amazing work on these last few pages. I used the like button a lot, while scanning through.
Rene, amazing mountain vistas with the Loxia 85.
As already mentioned on flickr, stunning portraits, Ronny.
Joshua, great work on those landscape shots with the gate-like rock.
Btw, I wholeheartedly agree that we cannot afford to lose Charles and his amazing skills at portraiture.
Both shots taken with my now sold Minolta 100 macro a few months ago. I somehow regret selling this extremely sharp and beautifully rendering lens, but it had fungus inside and it wasn't worth cleaning. Curious to see how the Sony 90G compares to that 35-year old Minolta glass.

Thank you very much, René. Your images never ceased to amaze me! Merry Christmas to you, too!

I would like to wish all FMers wherever they may be: "Happy Holidays"
Our shooting match was canceled today due to high winds, so I decided to take some photos with my "new" a7R2 and EF 24-70/2.8L (with Sigma MC-11). On my way home, I stopped on the side of the road to take some shots of cactus on the hillside, only to be surprised by the leader of our target setters and his daughter, wishing me a Merry Christmas and offering me a pie (obviously intended to be consumed by match attendees). How could I refuse? In salute, I grabbed a quick shot as they drove away, offering my thanks to that mysterious pie-tastic duo.
